Message: To the Swift Family, I had the opportunity to meet Tom in 1999 at Saint Peters College. We were both in the MBA program and subsequently graduated in May 2001. Tom was someone you could easily strike a conversation with. I worked at UPS and he I believe for Morgan Stanley. Tom was extremely bright. If I missed something in class, I could count on Tom having the information I missed. I recalled Tom’s first child being born sometime during the end of 2000 or the beginning of 2001. I was watching Dateline NBC on Sunday evening September 16th 2001 along with my wife. I notice a lady holding a picture as the camera moved through the crowd of people still looking for family members. I yelled to my wife “I know that guy”, I immediately dashed up the stairs to look for my commencement bulletin to verify the name along with the picture I saw and sadly it matched Tom. That next morning I called Saint Peters College to confirm with Carmella Butel who was the student liaison for the MBA program at the college. Carmella call back hysterical and confirmed Tom worked at the World Trade Center. It’s been 5 years and it seems like only yesterday. September 11th will always be the day I remember Tom Swift. May God bless your family and I hope you can find strength on the memorable day. Regards Kobina Thomas MBA 2001 Saint Peters College. 201-271-7983
