From: Patrick Hoover Date: 02/13/2006 Message: I am a high school Health teacher. Each new class hears a story about a kid who provoked a fight at Finley JH and won. I was on your basketball team and you had little patience for me. After instigating you into a fist fight, you quickly gained the upper hand and gave me a chance to quit, which I took. I am not sure why I did what I did, but your values showed compassion, which is the topic of the lesson that I teach to my students and the lesson that I never forgot. That was the fight that I started and "won". I learned more from that day than I could have hoped for. Thanks.
