Message: Alysia, I was not fortunate enough to know you in life, but wished I had. I was reading mems on 9-11 victims ans was struck by your beautiful smile, so I read more. You and your husband are incredible, as were so many others our nation lost that day. Then I noticed your daughter and I share the same birthday and I started to cry. I will pray for her and your husband, but I just wanted to let you know Alysia that you were an incredibly determined, motivated and loving individual, and that as strong as this great nation is, we are weaker than if we hadn't lost you. Rest in Peace Alysia

Message: My name is Alyssa. I am student at Wheaton North High School in Illinois. I received a project in my World Civilizations class to pick a victim of the September 11th terrorist attacks and to research them. After researching Alysia and her life and family, I think it gave me a new perspective on September 11. Now, the thousands of people that died that day are no longer numbers to me. I think that Alysia’s story is very inspirational and should always be remembered. She worked so hard during her life to balance school and raising her child. I know that her family must miss her deeply. God bless your family, and rest in peace.
