Message: Today is September 11th and my teacher told us we had to look up someone that pasted away 5 years ago on September 11th. I am very sorry about the family's loss. I read all the things your children and friends have said. From that I see you were a great person! I just wanted to let you know that I picked your name out of the list of victims to write about for my american history class. My heart goes out to you and your family. R.I.P Gary Herold

From: Mike Carmody
Date: 09/11/2006
Message: Gary was a great guy with a terrific, albeit dry, sense of humor. He always found a way to make you laugh. I was fortunate to have worked with him at The Travelers Insurance Company. Whenever I hear or see news about 9-11 and especially today, on the five year anniversary of the tragedy, he comes to my mind. We must never forget Gary or the others who lost their lives that day.
