Message: I went to St. Francis with Vin, who was then known as "Vinny." I was on the track team with him, and remember him well. I had seen his name in the LA Times shortly after 9/11, but I never knew if it was really him. Yesterday, I received a letter from St. Francis saying he perished in that awful attack with many of our other brothers and sisters. While words are hardly sufficient, my prayers go out to you, his friends and family. May God's grace ease your pain and sadness at this loss. -Lorraine Daly

Message: Vinny, Not a day goes by that I do not miss the sound of your laughter. Growing up You taught me so much - I always knew I was lucky to have you as a brother but as I got older, I realized how fortunate I was to have you as a friend. I would give everything to have you back in this world - so I could say "thanks" - and "I am so proud of you" - and hug you with all my might. I love you Vin.

Message: Vinny, We only knew each other a short time, but everytime you saw the "firemen from Baltimore" you made me laugh. I wanted to say HAPPY BIRTHDAY to you!! You are always in our prayers!!!!

Message: Captain Vincent F. Giammona, FDNY (9/11/61 – 9/11/01) 45 years ago today, Mom and Dad smiled with joy when you were born. 20 years ago, we stood with pride when you became one of NY’s Bravest. And over the years, you became our current events comedian, rhythmically-challenged bartender, friend to the forgotten, outlaw of time, master of persuasion, true “Brave Heart” and steadfast patriot. So, no matter how many years pass, it would be IMPOSSIBLE to FORGET YOU, VINNY G. Till we meet again, you will be forever young and forever in our hearts. Love Mom, Dad, Louise, Steven and Linda
